While the identity of the author is never revealed, he is generally referred to as Menon. ‘La Cuisiniere Bourgeoise’ is one of the best-known and oft reprinted cookbooks and features hundreds of recipes and food preparations along with beer and wine making, ingredients, and strategies for cooking.
